Atwater Schools Make Our Community Great

With all the turmoil in our community today, there is something which overrides all other issues. Atwater has an excellent school system, one of the best in California and it is being run by very dedicated teachers and school staff.

As our community has continued to grow, it is running out of classroom space and it now needs a new elementary school to keep up with this growth. Voters will be asked to approve a $20 million bond measure for the construction of that school.

The Measure is listed on the ballot as Measure E and we encourage all local registered voters to approve the measure.

We know, first hand, about Atwater schools as both our children were a products of the Atwater education system and have succeeded in life because of it.

The growth of the Atwater community is dependent on having adequate educational resources. All other costs of living in California have gone up. We have requests for voter approval of roads, police and fire protection, and of city services, so it should come as no surprise that educational resources deserve equal attention if we want our children to grow up on a par with other children of the country.

This is why we find it is so important for voters to approve Measure E.

The Atwater Elementary School District is limited to “informing the community” regarding the need for a new school. Otherwise we could run full page ads in the newspaper demanding that our readers support this measure.

As it is, we want to express our personal support for Measure E on your ballot and ask you to support our local school district. Support our kids as they are the future of our community.
